Black and White and One Color Challenge

The 2008 Santa Monica Quilt Guild Challenge theme was "Black and White and One Other Color." The quilt top had to contain the colors black (can be different values), white and one other color. The additional color was the quilter's choice and it could be used in different values. The color chosen in addition to black and white could not take up any more than 50% of the quilt top surface. The quilt was to be layered - top, batting and backing, hand or machine quilted. The binding was to be black, white, the additional color of your choice or a combination of the three. The perimeter of the quilt could be no more than 180 inches. Any embellishments should follow the black, white and one other color theme, though clear crystals or other clear (no color) embellishments were acceptable.
